Orthodontic Treatment

Orthodontics is a special branch of dentistry that deals with the diagnosis, protection and treatment of irregularities in the teeth and face. Irregular or “bad” bite called malocclusion can be corrected with orthodontic treatment.

Why do teeth become crooked and how are they treated?
Orthodontic Treatment | When the size of the teeth is not compatible with the size of the jaw, the teeth are arranged crooked or spaced to settle in the jaw. In such dental and skeletal disorders, orthodontic treatment is applied to bring the teeth back to their proper alignment.

Is there an age for orthodontic treatment?
There is no age for the treatment of perplexity seen only in the teeth. It is treated at any age. However, the treatment of skeletal disorders, which we call the front or back of the jaws, should be done before the age of 12. This treatment becomes much more difficult at older ages. Nevertheless, we recommend our patients to have an orthodontic examination before the age of 7.
